Less Stress, More Confidence:
My algebra confidence grew with fun lessons.
“Brooklyn Math Tutors teaches math compassionately, framing confusion as an opportunity for growth, not an obstacle. My tutor, Nora, is always patient with me, even when I’m tired after school. Her teaching feels tailored to my learning style. (Lots of analogies, mnemonics, soap operas about molecules (opposites attract!), etc.) But the life that she brings to the learning experience doesn’t substitute for substance — it enhances it. In a one-hour session, I sometimes learn as much as I would in an entire week of math class, and on top of that, I’m actually having fun, (to the extent that one can have fun doing algebra). Another delightful aspect of Brooklyn Math Tutors is that they seem genuinely invested in the learning process. When I was confused about the material in my computer science class, Mr. Alexander Friedman offered to speak with me over the phone on multiple occasions to clear up the mental fog. That someone would agree to sacrifice his free time teaching a random student says, to me, that the people you’ll find at Brooklyn Math Tutors aren’t just good teachers — they’re good human beings.“

My daughter handles math without tears.
“We really want to thank you from the bottoms of our hearts for all the great work you’ve done with our daughter this year. She has grown SO much in her confidence in this subject, and her teacher has told us she’s seen a noticeable improvement. LUCKY for us we were referred to the WONDERFUL Andrea for support with Physics (midway through Senior year, no less).
